Smoking!

i have just talked in my other post about pregnant women drinking which i think is very wrong. i also think smoking while pregnant is wrong. this can cause the baby when born to have asthma, serious lung problems and it is not good for the child at all. smoking around other young children can do the same. i havnt got a problem with smoking and i think everyone at some point will either smoke for a period of time or at least try it. but while a child is small and cant have a say due to not understanding the dangers i dont think anyone should smoke around them. i have smoked before and like i said dont have a problem with it but since it was stopped in public places i thinks its alot nicer my parents dont smoke so my house doesnt smell of it so when any of us come in from being in a pub or somewere its nice not to smell of smoke.

Alcohol!

i cant say that i dont enjoy going out and having a drink with my friends and sometimes you know when you have drunk too much. i dont see the problem in that if you are old enough to drink and you know that when you have had a drink you dont start fights or cause problems in the pub or club thats fine. its the people that go and drink way too much and cause fights maybe end up in hospital and do this on a regular basis that i think is wrong not only is not any fun for their friends when they are out but they will be affecting their body. i think there is alot more people who may not realise it but need help with drinking problems. i also think women drinking while pregnant is not fair on the baby it can affect the baby badly and if done too much can cause a miscarridge this doesnt even give the baby a chance. does anyone feel differently?

stealing! this is a crime which happens alot. most stores clothes and food have people go in a steal things. the way i see this is that if you dont have any money to buy it because you cant afford it at the time of just dont have money then you cant have it. because you are taking it someone else is loosing out which isnt fair on that person who owns the shop. other people will pit pocket and take from others. this is also bad and should be stopped this is taking personal belongings which may mean alot to the person or taking money off them which they will need themself.

Tattoos and body modification.

the way somebody dresses, has their hair is the way we are all able to be individuals, another way is by piercings and tattoos. i have my belly button pierced and wouldnt think of that as a way of showing who i am people dont really see it on a day to day basis i had it done because it was something i wanted. other people will have piercings and tattoos to show who they are i dont see a problem with this and i think some people have alot of tattoos or piercings and can get judged i dont think that is right just because one person might like it doesnt mean another wouldnt. its up to the person what they want to do.

infidelity. i agree in the presentation when its says it is breaking a rule which makes it cheating but at the same time if you feel you like someone else while with someone you shouldnt be with that other person. there is no problem in splitting up with someone and then going with someone else but its not good doing it behind the other persons back. this can be also classed as a lie which brings us back to one of our other lectures. i do think people are so interrested in wanting to know about other peoples affairs and again i agree with the presentation this is mainly to do with the fact that sex is involved which i also think makes cheating more of a reason to do it for some people but i do not agree in it at all.

Prostituion!

Prostituion in women has always looked upon to be alot worse than a males pimpin. There is not really a good reason for this other than its a woman and they shouldnt do it. Most prostitutes are doing it either to have the money due to not being able to get another job so they feel selling themself is the only other way which they will be able to get money or it is for drugs they will sell their body in order to get any drugs they want/need. This is showing a lack of self respect for themself and going down to a level which is not needed. What are other peoples views of prostituion?

Masterbation!

Before this lecture I hadnt got a clue what we were going to be talking about. we mainly talked about the history of masterbation. I never realsied it was looked as to be such a bad thing that people did. The methods used to stop people from doing it were very strange and unnecessary and the fact that in the 18th and 19th century they found it to be a danger was very strange. I dont agree in anything people used to say I think just be yourself do what you want and dont be ashamed of it.
